IIRC, it has backends that support accessing svn and git repositories as if they were native bazaar repositories, and for most reasonably-sized projects it’s a “good enough” solution. (You can also use fast-import/fast-export to import/export repositories — an idea that comes from git — with history between Bazaar and other formats (such as git or svn). Although I have no idea why you’d want to. ;)
