&lt;p&gt;IIRC, it has backends that support accessing svn and git repositories as if they were native bazaar repositories, and for most reasonably-sized projects it&#039;s a &quot;good enough&quot; solution. (You can also use fast-import/fast-export to import/export repositories -- an idea that comes from git -- with history between Bazaar and other formats (such as git or svn). Although I have no idea why you&#039;d want to. ;)&lt;/p&gt;
